Scholarships are usually known by providing financial assistance that is used to continue education for underprivileged children. The Scholarship Program at HITS is different, apart from helping the education cost, it is also an event to give awards to the children of employees who have performed well. Furthermore, once a year it become gathering event between HITS management with its employees & families at the awarding ceremony.
"Do not look at the cash value, but create a passion to keep learning and improving achievement, that's the main thing," said Prof. Roy Sembel, at the scholarship awarding ceremony at Kandank Jurank Dik Doank, on Sunday (3/11).
It takes 3-Si, to achieve Dreams which is the theme of this year's Scholarship Program, added Prof. Roy, "What are the 3-Si? That are, Motiva-SI, Eduka-SI, Ak-SI,".
Another formula from Ka Diego at the beginning of the ceremony that inspired the dreams of employees' children with the formula "MimBar DOAku", which means that future goal is a MIMpi, must be digamBARkan, then diDOAkan, foKUs and fight for it.
Together with 50 orphans from 2 foundations in Jakarta area, 50 scholarship-winning employees' children especially from Jakarta area were invited, was mingle together without distance. "This is our concept, teaching employees' children to have no distance in dealing with each other", said Okty Saptarini, Corporate Secretary of HITS. We want to teach children, that in life, all are brothers & sisters who must be invited to play together, to joke together.
This scholarship program is also a manifestation of the social vision which carried out by the company to support employee welfare. In addition to boost employee productivity and performance, it is expected to build employee loyalty as well.
Some non-employee husbands/wives who attended to accompany children to play at Kandank Jurank said that this activity is very positive and become better every year. It is recognized that this program is rarely noticed by most companies.
